Dogs in shelters are not their best selves due to high stress levels, which can have an adverse effect on their adoptability.
A recent study found that sleepovers helped shelter dogs reduce cortisol levels, relax, be less frantic in-kennel, and be more engaged with people, resulting in higher rates of adoption.
To help dogs find their forever homes, Chewy is launching Stress-Free BnB, an overnight experience to give prospective pet owners the chance to spend a weekend with an adoptable dog. Each space is designed to allow both humans and pups to relax, have fun, and be their true selves.

One of Instagram's most popular pet lovers, @thedogist, will spend a weekend at a Stress-Free BnB, giving followers a first look into the journey from booking to experiences and potential adoption.
How it Works
Chewy will be registered as an Airbnb Superhost, offering 2-3 night stays in our Stress-Free BnBs with adoptable dogs. Filtering by space and lifestyle, users will be matched with an ideal BnB Buddy.
Stress-Free Booking
Upon arrival, a Chewy Concierge will greet guests with a Welcome Box of goodies and help ensure a smooth introduction between human and pup.
Scan the QR code included in your Welcome Box to unlock Chewy's custom social filters and frames so you can snap and share all your fun moments with your new fur friend.
Chewy Concierge
& Adoption
Halfway through the stay, a Chewy Concierge will check in with the guest, where they can opt for an expedited adoption process.
Once approved, guests can take a #GotchaDay pic with their buddy (to be shared via social) and head directly to their new furever home.
